What is Relaxation?

Relaxation is a VR module within Psylaris Care that helps clients relax immediately and reduce stress.
They also learn techniques they can later apply independently to regulate tension.

The module offers both active and passive relaxation sessions, including breathing exercises, mindfulness, and in-depth relaxation modules with calming environments and sounds.
Relaxation can be used before, during, or after treatment to reduce tension and support recovery.

Flexible use within any treatment

Relaxation can be used before, during, or after a treatment session to reduce tension, restore focus, or help clients unwind. The module fits into any treatment pathway and supports relaxation naturally, without extra burden on the therapist.

Active and passive relaxation

Clients can choose from active exercises, such as breathing or mindfulness, and passive sessions with soothing visuals, sounds, and guided relaxation. This allows you to tailor the experience to the client’s level of tension and their needs in the moment.

Learning to relax without VR

The exercises within Relaxation are designed not only to help clients relax in VR, but also to teach them techniques they can use independently. They learn to recognise, regulate, and reduce tension, even outside the therapy room.

Different experiences to find the best match

Each module within Relaxation offers unique relaxation experiences with different styles, lengths, and intensities. As a therapist, you can work with the client to discover which sessions best match their preference, tension level, and recovery needs.

“My client was always switched on. Nothing helped her to relax. I let her watch the videos in the headset about the reindeer. When she watches those, she really calms down. She’s not in the here and now, but briefly somewhere else in her mind.”

Application in practice

Relaxation is used to help clients unwind and reduce tension, both in the therapy room and at home.
The VR headset offers various relaxation experiences, such as guided meditation, a breathing exercise, or calming environments like swimming with dolphins or walking through a forest at sunset.

After a short explanation, the client can start the session independently.
The guided exercises help to reduce stress immediately and teach techniques that can also be applied without VR.
This creates a low-threshold, effective way to make relaxation a structural part of treatment.
