Negative thoughts due to trauma
Everyone can experience times when things are not going so well. You often get some gloomy thoughts. Sometimes these thoughts can be useful, as they keep you alert and prevent you from becoming reckless. But it can also happen that you always walk around with pessimistic thoughts. It is then very difficult to get rid of these thoughts. This mainly has to do with how bad it is and what causes it.
What is the cause of negative thoughts?
You can have a personality that makes you negative and therefore have thoughts that are negative. This applies to a small group of people. These are often people who suffer from chronic depression. Not everyone has ever walked around with pessimistic thoughts for a long time. Often there has been a certain moment, which made one gloomy. This is often the case after experiencing a traumatic event. When you have experienced a trauma and you can’t find a place for it, the event keeps replaying in your mind, you then have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This is the main cause of negative and gloomy thoughts. Fear is the main cause of this. By thinking negatively, you create your own reality, so that you no longer have to think about your fear.
