To keep improving we are always working on research collaborations with national and international partners.
Tilburg University – Follow the dot
A qualitative pilot study with the Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis Rookstoppoli shows promising results regarding the willingness of clients to use 360 degree videos in VR for exposure therapy (VRET) as a part of smoking cessation therapy. A quantitative follow-up study is currently being designed to examine the effect of the therapy. Future research with the University of Tilburg will analyze the efficacy of VRET in a clinical population with social anxiety disorder.
Thomas More – Immersive Care study
A study conducted in collaboration with the Thomas More University of Applied Sciences in Belgium shows that VR use for both distraction and relaxation is acceptable, feasible and tolerable for a variety of pediatric patients aged 4–16 years, and can reduce anxiety, pain and tension (stress), and increase happiness in a hospital setting.
